CRAS, formed in 2001 in the UK, now based between and around Bristol and Birmingham. They play a combination of bizarre world music sounding vocals and guitar riffs with modern rock music which creates an interesting and unique texture. They are a traditional four piece band who at the moment are self managed but looking for someone to take over that responsibilty. Their music offers you a taste of the bizare plus lyrics which are both political and religous based. The songs vary from acoustic numbers to full on heavy numbers with lyrics sometimes subtle and sometimes blatant. Influnces on the band include bands such as System of a Down, Vex Red, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Page, Queens of the Stone Age and many others. CRAS have a number of songs recorded but now that new equipment has arrived they will be able to record and adapt existing recordings with a better quiality of production. At the moment they practice and record in Malvern, Worcestershire which doesn't really host much performance opportunities but nearby there is the city of Worcester which hosts some places for small gigs. Once recording has finished CRAS are hoping to secure some gigs around esater time next year in Bristol and Worcester.
